The Ivy House –
a communiy pub in Nunhead, in which they screened the 1955 musical Guys and Dolls. Although we have seen the staged version, we had never watched the original film, starring Frank Sinatra and Marlon Brando. Given that it first aired in the year I was born, it was a must!

South London Gallery Peckham
Bought 6 bottles of ‘No Food for Lazy Man craft ale. loved the story. It connects Peckham with Lagos via London based brewery Orbit. was fermented under Ogboh’s lagos soundscape. So according to the artist, the beer is vibrating to the sound of Lagos. The recipe uses English hps along with Nigerian alligator pepper, calabash, nitmeg and sugar cane
Camberwell
A 20 minute stroll along Peckham Queens Road and we were in Camberwell.
Historically, Lucas Gardens belonged to the tenants of the adjoining terraces houses.
In 1955 they became a public park.
Dulwich
Dulwich Village, a short bus
journey from Peckham. High end properties, high end shops and a good pub.
Dulwich Village is also home to two beautiful parks: Sunray Park -a mini nature reserve, and Dulwich Park- an expanse of traditional parklan with a boating lake, cafe and acres of green to lounge or roam
